Farah Quinn, also known as the sexy chef, has been a fan of the culinary arts since childhood. As a young girl she spent her days cooking and baking with her mother in their house in Sumatera.
She moved to the US to finish high school in Pittsburgh, then went on to study finance at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Farah’s loves for food however took over and she changed her field of study to Culinary Arts and she completed her degree in Pastry Arts from Pennsylvania Culinary Institute.
Lidia’s – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
While she attended college, Farah started her professional career at Lidia’s Pittsburgh, a famous Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. During this time Farah attended Pittsburgh Culinary Institute where she studied all culinary manners with a focus on pastry.
Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa – Phoenix, Arizona
Upon graduation Farah moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she took a position in the pastry kitchen at the Arizona Biltmore Resort. Meanwhile Farah continued studying her passion by attending classes at World Pastry Championships and grabbing opportunities to study under such pastry moguls as Ewald Notter and Colette Peters.
G8 summit at Sea Island Georgia
In 2003 Farah was fortunate enough to be invited to the G8 summit at Sea Island Georgia where she created specialty desserts for the likes of First Lady Laura Bush and other world delegates under the guidance of celebrity chef James Mullaney.
Camus – Restaurant
Later in the year of 2003 Farah and her partner, Carson Quinn opened their own restaurant called Camus.
Camus was awarded 4 stars for its cuisine as well as many other accolades. Farah gained much notoriety for her work there creating not only amazing desserts but fueling the ambiance with her glowing personality and knack for style.
TV Career – Food & Fashion (Trans TV)
Farah Quinn came back for the latest program TRANS TV, a Food & Fashion. In this 30-minute program, Farah Quinn as the host will invite viewers to the streets and looking for typical food both traditional and modern, and see how to make it. Also in this program Farah Quinn will also provide information about fashion.
TV Career – Queen at Home (Net TV)

TV Career – A la Chef (Trans TV)
In late 2008 Farah decided to go back to Indonesia and started her career there as a TV Personality and Host for a culinary related program. Her first TV show titled ALA CHEF , airing on a nation wide TV station, Asian Food Channel also couple channels from Singapore based broadcasters.
In late 2012 Farah made her first fully international debut on Asian Food Channel. The program titled The Big Break was aired towards the end of 2012 with coverage around Asia: Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, Mongolia, South Korea and Thailand.
This year, 2013, Farah have just joined a new production, as a host for TOP CHEF Indonesia. The filming started in May 2013.
Ala Chef is a culinary program featuring Farah as she travels around Indonesia, to different islands and provinces, exploring local cuisine and creating new dishes based on the things that inspire her there.
The show continues to air on an Indonesian national TV channel (TRANS TV) as well as on the Asian Food Channel. Singapore based broadcasters such as Suria TV and Sensasi picked up the show for some seasons. Here is the TRAILER
Farah, as Ala Chef Host have been awarded as Best presenter for hobby and lifestyle program by Panasonic Gobel Award 2013.
TV Career – The Big Break
Farah teamed up with Asian Food Channel to launch The Big Break, produced in partnership with Resort World Sentosa.
The show is based around 12 underprevileged youths from six different countries around Asia. The contestants are offered an opportunity to transform their lives by learning invaluables skills needed in the kitchen.
The show premiered on 14th November 2012 with much fan fare.
Along with her career and growing popularity Farah took on the role of Brand Ambassador for a number of products in the region.
Some of these products are culinary in nature, but as of late she has been approached by a wider segment including travel, lifestyle and even telecommunications.
She’s even created a dish for the wildly successful Air Asia where fans looking to try Farah’s cooking can do so by ordering her select dish on all Air Asia Indonesia flights.
Only recently Farah has joined DFS Galleria, world’s leading luxury retailer catering to the traveling public, as their brand ambassador.
Social Media Activities
Farah maintains her relationships with fans and friends through her social media network. Her fan page on facebook has over 2.8 million likes, and her twitter @quinnfarah is about to reach a million followers. She shares her thoughts, photos and experiences through both and receives an overwhelmingly positive response from the public.
Farah likes being spontaneous and just loves to have fun. She loves traveling and working on TV shows as well as other projects. She enjoys hanging out with her friends in Indonesia or in the U.S.
Farah takes great pride in being loving and devoted as both an active woman and mother. Farah focuses her life on her family, faith, career and all the people around her that make her life so special.
